THE VILLA
Rock, woods,
and the lake below.
The first think you notice at Villa Torno is what's missing:
no traffic, no neighbours,
nothing but the wind and the water.
What's left is a wild, untouched place.

BIOSAUNA IN THE
QUARRY ROCK
POOL SET INTO
THE TERRACE
EXCLUSIVE USE OF
THE PROPERTY
UP TO 6 GUESTS

The lake comes
indoors.
Sliding glass doors open the living room straight onto the terrace. The room fills with light through the day and gathers everyone in by evening.

The kitchen sits in the oldest, stone part of the house, where the walls still carry their age.
It's a room made for cooking together and staying on afterwards — the kind of place where a meal becomes the whole evening rather than a part of it.

Down in the basement, a biosauna sits among the bare quarry rocks uncovered during the restoration — an intimate, half-lit space that feels carved out of the hill itself.
Set it dry and Finnish-hot, or soft with steam, however your body asks. A room for ending the day slowly.

The pool — 12 by 4 metres, with jets — is cut into the terrace below the house, with a hot-and-cold shower and room to stretch out beside it. It faces west, straight into the sunset over the lake.
A swim alone at sunrise, a long aperitivo as the light softens, the water yours all day.

(Open April through October; closed for the season from 1 November to 31 March.)

ARRIVING AT THE VILLA
You park inside the property, then walk the 80-steps ramps locals call "the ramp to paradise", following the 400-year-old Via di Lizza.

Someone always carries yours bags.

The walk to the villa means the villa isn't suitable for guests with mobility difficulties; in winter, we recommend a 4x4 car.
